Omaha High is a version of Texas Hold’em where the player is dealt 4 cards (hole cards) instead of two. However, two and only two cards are used to build their final hand. Omaha Hi is also known as Omaha Holdem or simply online Omaha. It is aggressive, bright, exciting and unpredictable game in which money on the table so often pass from hand to hand as not in any other form of poker.

Four cards make Omaha game a 9-card game and a large number of cards to choose usually leads to the players finish the game with a relatively stronger hands. Because people who play poker are real gamblers it is likely to gain a stronger hand that means the players remain in the game longer and therefore the pot increases.

In practice, HoldEm players will find that in Omaha Hi you need to focus more on cards and not on the players. Rules of Omaha are similar to the rules of Texas Holdem. Only the player is dealt 4 cards and final hand is made up of two of the four cards and three of the five common cards.

Opening

The first player left of the dealer – place number 2 – is a small blind (small blind) and he has to make half the lower limit, for example $ 5 to $ 10 – $ 20 game. The next player – the big blind (big blind) – should make the lower limit for all or $ 10 to $ 10 – $ 20 game.

The line moves clockwise around the table starting with the player sitting left of the big blind. Each player is dealt one card then another one and so on.

Flop (The Flop)
After a first round is completed, the dealer lays first three common cards in the center of the table. This is called the flop (the Flop). The next round starts with the blind or the first of the remaining players on the left of the dealer. Check at this stage is possible. Bets are placed at the lower limit ($ 10 in our example).

The fourth common card is dealt on the table. A round begins with the blinds, as before. From now until the end of the game bet and raise are produced at the highest level ($ 20). Turn is the first road round.

The fifth and final common card is dealt. This is also an expensive round, as rates and increasing are made at the highest level ($ 20).

The Showdown
As in 7-Card Stud the best 5 card hand wins. The players form their final hands from any combination of cards on the table and their own cards, sometimes even ignoring their own cards and using only cards on the table.

In Omaha High any player is entitled to see the cards that the hands of other players when they are fold. Once a player makes a bet or raised a bet and the last bet is made, the player simply asked the dealer and the foldcards of other players are overturned and shown to the players.
